Living in Bourgogne Franche Comté

Burgundy Franche Comté, between green tourism and protected landscapes

Burgundy Franche Comté offers innumerable assets that are characteristic of it. First of all, it offers prestigious wines and vineyards, the pleasure of gastronomy, sites classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, in a preserved natural site. In Burgundy Franche-Comté, castles, cities of art and history, monumental buildings or simple village architecture trace the region’s past.

Wine is without doubt the most famous ambassador of Burgundy. Nearly 200 controlled appellations and an infinite number of harmonies from two grape varieties: Pinot noir and Chardonnay. We also find Aligoté for some whites and Gamay in the Mâconnais. The Route des Grands Crus reveals the secrets of the vine and wine through prestigious and unusual places.

Authenticity and the art of living

Beaune, classified as a city of art and history, is the capital of Bourgogne’s wines. Its hospice is as famous for its traditional burgundian architecture and its glazed roofs as for its prestigious vineyard whose production is sold at auction.

Franche Comté is rich of its preserved landscapes and its two natural parks (the Ballon des Vosges Park and the Haut Jura Park). It is the fruit of a perfect harmony between men, nature and the soil. There are also incredible cultural sites, including the majestic Vauban fortifications in Besançon.
